This is HiRISE image PSP_008427_1380, showing part of the Hellas Basin in fall. This image was processed from the PDS RDR version. Note the frequent quarry-like step formations scattered about.

I prattled about with this one too - It's a very odd / stunning bit of geology (if you think its totally natural?)

I managed to get this up to 1.8 Gigapixels without it making your eyes weep from artifacts and blurriness

Sorry I couldn't resist, once I had a good nosy at your Gigapan Todd - I knew it could yield more detail

There are certainly some interesting formations there, whether natural or otherwise. I can't imagine the natural process (maybe freeze/thaw cycles?) that would make such a thing, but I also can't imagine WHY a civilization would make such a thing. Not sure about the scale, but it seems to cover a pretty large area.

Note that the odd formations are also inside the craters, indicating that the crater was formed first, then the formations came later.

This looks like it could be a bunch of buried square-ish structures to me. I dunno'.

Built like that so as to "hide" ?

With all the pipes, hoses, strange looking shapes that resemble machinery, what appears as rock carvings, reflector dishes or ?? -- , entranceways / doorways , some with visible open swung doors --- or am I just loosing it ? ( not that there is anything wrong with that.)

 Whew -- glad we got that cleared up and out of the way.

So this stuff does not exist -- now I can rest my mind.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
