By now everyone who is an anomaly hunter should know about them and ANYONE posting things online should be going to the PDS to get their images. Only exceptions being the latest images not in the PDS yet. It takes a little longer but this needs to be done. It is the "Scientific Data" and nasa states right in the policy that the images on the nasa.gov website are "Browsing Raw" images that are filled with JPEG artifacts due to the compression at 70 percent. Great work Todd! Do you agree with me here?

Thanks, and I certainly agree. I urge everyone still using the Curiosity browse jpg versions to get out of the comfort zone and start using the PDS data. It's certainly easier than trying to clean up the jpg artifacts from the browse versions. Will has created a forum section for the planetary data system and I will be posting info in there eventually. In the meantime, Emily Lakdawalla's blog on the Planetary Society has quite a few raw imaging tips for Curiosity and other missions.

I see a lot in this photo, including what looks like a broken pot.. I have a very, large very powerful magnifying glass I use, and it picks things up very nicely, and this photo is loaded. I wonder what the rounded thing that looks like a barrel with a rounded ring sticking out from one end is. If you go to the top left center of the photo where the rock pile is. it looks like a broken piece of pottery, or some type of pot... I am going to look through this one for a while thank you for sharing this with us. awesome!!!! one.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel. They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life. I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.
