Back to Bali.
The first picture is not far from Bukit Sari, where the temple grounds are a sanctuary for this phenomenon.
Notice the red part above the arch of the roots. The large mechanical assembly hanging inside the tree, not the one in the center, but the one behind it, inside, to the right. Note also the strange relief on the stomps. No wonder that place is sacred.
Another tree, still in Bali. Much harder to see, but quite spectacular.. Start from the top, If you look carefully, you will distinguish what looks like a steel structure embedded in the left face of the root. That 'branch on the right has a very interesting shape, don't you think?

Just a bit of precision on what there is to see in Southern Iraq. It is a broken fitting. Following the line to the North West leads to Capadocia and to the South East to the Pakistan and the Himalayas.
Location: 32.6724804 N 46.2818083 E
In green and blue, top and bottom parts of a broken casing, in red what was inside before it broke, and cabling in yellow. Cabling is usually used for suspended constructions, This fitting is big, so whatever it was tied to would be huge, maybe as large as the Himalayas.
