Look what happens when you take a portion of one of their (Nasa) photos --




and reset it back to the normal settings - you get this

"awesome" it is amazing the things nasa tries to pull over on the people. I wish there were some type of a program that would give us the ability to take a edited photo from nasa, and unedited it back to the raw form. I wonder if that Is that even possible lol thank you for sharing this I'm going to check it out some more. thank you. ben.. :)

Hi,
I read one of the 200 plus page pdf files that NASA includes with some of their pictures, and they put those pictures through a lot of filters. Even if we could undo the filtering, we would probably be lacking the million dollar equipment they use for smearing up the pictures. Those are the pictures and equipment the WE pay for.

That picture was a great find.

Hi,
I have to amend my earlier post-about equipment. I was looking at an old picture from PIA 10210. This picture was incredibly clear-I found out that NASA used some software they developed (award-winning) that produced the picture. This is the pdf file for those of you who understand photo processing. It's only 2 pages: mars.nasa.gov/MPF/science/lpsc98/1536.pdf
BTW, PIA 10210 - Mars Victoria Crater Cape St. Vincent is a really interesting place.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
