Sol 1100: Tube, Beam Integrated into Martian Hillside was created by Todd
This is from a Curiosity right Mastcam image taken on Sol 1100 . The hillside, background to the left, has what looks like an adit with a support beam and a tube protruding out from an object inside it.

There looks to be a metallic object lying next to the beam--is that the other object you were talking about? I think I see several objects lying in the shade of the overhang. LOL, my eyesight isn't what it used to be!!!

DAWN, Yes, yes, and yes!!

Nothing wrong with your eyesight. In fact, there is a TON of interesting information in the images of this particular SOL. I'm going to look closer at this one

Yes. It looks like a piece of equipment sitting just inside the entrance of a mine shaft.
