Here's image 2 again with three different filters. the third is drawn over to highlight what I am seeing. There seem to be markings. The markings appear in both image 2 and 3. Does that make them less likely to be jpeg artefacts?

Welcome to website! Love this one.. You are right.. The different pictures make it much less likely to be artifacts. Look at the piece right under it too! Very interesting! Looks like a beveled part! Great find!

I've worked on the Sol 529 "statue" some more. Seeing more detail I think, though have to be careful not to read too much into it at this magnification. I was going to colour in some of the detail I am seeing but this time I thought I'd leave it to the viewer to make their own mind up. the two versions of the statue are cut out from a different Curiosity image taken a few seconds apart.

Definitely something was going on at Dingo Gap. In the same mosaic, looks to me like the foundation of a building.

yep Dingo Gap has probably been my favourite place. Some of the details did not show though on the last image. I've tried to enlarge again. But maybe this will prove too much. See what you think.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel. They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life. I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.
