Here is a composite made from Mastcam images taken on sol 751, the first mission sol in "The Pahrump Hills." Some interesting materials hanging around in this one.

Here are two composites from sol 1065, a Mastcam composite and a rare MAHLI-cam composite showing a rover self portrait.

These composites were processed from Mastcam images taken on sol 319 while the rover was revisiting "Point Lake" and "Shaler."

Sol 319, above, lower right image, upper right corner.

I see a lot of this thin orderly

layering in some images. I wonder about it. If it is natural, it would have to be sedimentation, repeated over and over, a baker’s half-dozen times in this image alone. It looks relatively thin. And very orderly with almost equal spacing between the layers. I wonder how geological processes, which would be sedimentation, produced such equal spacing. In my mind, such orderly repetition is most easily explained as being a function of a parameter.

What could this parameter be? It could be some, as yet, undiscovered geologic parameter with some kind of vectoring effect. It could also be an architectural plan. One data point that might lean toward architecture is any layering that is among and at right angles to the prevalent layering. This appears in some of the images.

This object looks different from its surroundings to me. It looks like it was formed by a different process than what it lies among. Perhaps it originated somewhere else and was transported to this location somehow; perhaps by being debris from an explosion somewhere.

If anyone has any commentary on this then I would like to see it.

Sol 319 above. Top image along top edge of ridge line toward left end.

What processes could have formed this? It looks like building material to me.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
