I know it is blurred but I see something laying there with thin legs.

I think the more fixed, wide angle left mastcam is just straight up not as clear as the less fixed, zoom capable right cam. It is a pile of interesting looking samples with a fair amount of symmetrical stuff, I can't really see a cricket, though. If there was something like that, I think it would likely be some type of mineral replacement fossil. The lighting in the image looks low which may be why it looks a little muddy. The next rover should have a lighting source, like a flash, but they would probably have to clean it every 10 meters. :cheer: Here is my version from the PDS raw DRCX .img file with an enlargement below.

I see what you're seeing, and it does indeed resemble a cricket. I kinda doubt that's what it is, or was assuming it's fossilized.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
