i was taking a look through the nev-t gigapan corner of this site when i came across this, on msl 1450 m-100 e, this looks to me like some sort of pipe sticking out of the ground, its on the right side near bottom of the hill if people want to open the gigapan and look for themselves.

I think it's just a split in the formation that happens to be flush with the surface material, but still it's strange. It's a small feature, so the jpg noise affects it pretty good. The pds version comes out around March 2017, it will look better. Sol 1450 is quite something.

Hey buddy glad to see you on the board! That one has gone back and forth in my head too. Crack or pipe. Pipe or crack. Lol. Good eye. Once we see the pds we will come back to this one it looks like it goes into the ground but so hard to tell. Great one!!

i can definitely see that it could be a crack from the angle making it look like a pipe, the only thing that confuses me is how the sand at the bottom looks like its pushed up round it which wouldn't happen if it was a crack on the wall

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
