AS16-P-4575: Strange Lunar Terrain West of Andel was created by Todd

The Apollo 16 panoramic frame, AS16-P-4575, shows an area West of the crater Andel and the Apollo 16 landing site. Below, patches of multiple topographical structures seemingly organized in rows. The images below were processed from various NASA/JSC/ASU raw tif tiles.

The terrain below has several square structures that seem to be laid out in relation to each other. Also a few square patterns present that have the appearance of an enclosed structural complex.

An unusual circular pattern is present in the Lunar terrain, perhaps from an ancient impact.

Strange object below, sitting on top of a series of platforms.

Very strange indeed! You know what that "stippled" terrain reminds me of? It looks a lot like the soil in my garden, after I've had the sprinkler on it. The soil is a sandy topsoil, pretty light in texture, and get's that look, especially in the winter when the moisture in it freezes/thaws a couple of times. And I don't even know what to make of the platform thing, that's just weird! Thanks Todd!

Something else, the depression in that last image definitely looks terraced.

Hi,
There really looks like there is a structure in the center of the photo-just up from the half-way point. Two parallel lines with smooth tops, and one of the lines runs perpendicular over a wider line. The terrace structure almost looks like a pyramid shape. The size of these must be large.
