Friends,

There is just one more thing I think needs to be pointed out.

Computers in those days were still mainly analog. The "computer" aboard Apollo was akin to the Commodore 64, an 8-bit machine with 20 kB ROM with 64 kB RAM. Most if not all of the internal memory was used up by the app. Extremely slow by today's standards and relied completely on 5 inch floppy disks or tapes to work. Nothing at all like the digital technology we enjoy today. And extremely expensive: $1 million and more.

Go here to see exactly what they used:

While it is possible the video could have been altered, the process would have taken much longer than a few minutes time we had to wait to watch the "live" feed. The best alternative would have been the broadcasts came from a sound stage, and not from the Moon at all. I am not even going there... B)

If you can, visit a museum displaying an Apollo capsule with the Lunar Module. You may also come to the conclusion that these men were really heroes to entrust their lives to this technology.

Namaste.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
