"Residue" on Rovers wheel? was created by Bracken
Hi guys, 1st time poster on here but long time watcher,

i was just reformatting my comp when i came across this pic in a link i made a while back but never actually got around to looking into,

it may be nothing and i don't know when this was taken but there seems to be Mars dust stuck to what was maybe a "Liquid" substance on the inside of the wheel,
I'm saying this because if you look there seems to be a run off, I doubt it would be some sort of hydraulic fluid but looks like rover has drove over something and it may have entered through one of the puncture holes in the wheel

anyways take a look see if i'm just pulling at straws . you can see it around the outside of the wheel, more so just above the arm

Wow what is that on there! It looks like it may have dripped down overnight or something from those JPL marks (apparently the tires have a pattern that writes a JPL Morse code on the surface in the tracks. (Something like that). I remember from a long time ago. I will look into this more!

Glad to have you here!!

Morse code? That is interesting.

I was going to say that the only 'residue' I get on my tires is something left by my neighbor's horse.

:P

Thanks for the posts, Bracken, Will
