The Analyst's Notebook is hosted at Washington University in St Luis and has been an amazing tool for searching the PDS Planatery Database System . It has listed several missions on its site and updates the current missions every time that there is a new dump to the actual PDS system which we will go over in future posts. Here you can view, zoom in, and check out images without downloading them. A great place to start seeing what kind of data is hosted. If you pick a Mars mission, enter a SOL date, then click on the DATA + button and go crazy :) I will be making videos as we learn how to use this to our best. Todd Hetherington has done a great job learning how to do this and has been teaching me some of the tricks he has picked up. You will notice he has added some amazing crystal clear images to some of the forums bests posts by members.

Start Here.. Then pick your mission. I suggest Curiosity if you are a Mars buff or Apollo if you are a Lunar Rider :)

That is a great suggestion, Will!

I discovered Analyst's Notebook a while back. It even offers complete mosaics for those who don't want to assemble them manually. (For me though that is half the fun! :P )

Thanks!!!

The mosaics are wonderful! They use the PNG files too not the JPG. I love how simple it is when you are looking at a certain image it says *MOSIAC AVAILABLE* or something simple like that! :)

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
