The Gordii Dorsum "wall system" is amazing. This is the NASA wallpaper image..

Today I found my way to much larger JP2 files that are a bit of a pain to convert and are massive. The full JP2 file is over a gigabite. I did not realize the section of walls visible in the wallpaper image is just a very small part of a much larger system of wall tens of kilometers wide. Here are a few slides I've taken to give you an idea of the detail.

Found this odd looking sediment layer/wall/sheet. Not sure what to call it or what is the correct perspective.

It can be found using Hiview at coordinates x 18942 y 33556

Another curiosity. Here is a section of the wall. There are gaps where blocks have become dislodged and there is evidence of debris that presumably was once part of the ridge/wall. But what is interested is that there appears to be a line or rim that in sections runs along both sides of the wall. This is nicely shown by the block of stone in the centre of this image with a two thin lines/ridges running from opposite corners. It could be natural but doesn't look very natural.
