check More Statues with Concrete Base? - MSL Sol 952

This is in keeping with the theme of Will's latest video.

The Curiosity Rover Mastcam on Sol 952 captured what looks to be some statue art mounted on a concrete base. The right one seems a little more damaged.

To me, the statue looks like a Meso-American version of a breed of canine.

The left side of the base looks as though it might have been modified in place where it sits

Yes. Rotate the image 90° CCW and the object becomes easier to view. .
Thanks, todd.

I've located a number of statue remnants. I'll post some links when I can remember where I put them.

I think that concrete has been established in some Curiosity images, especially from Sol 137 & 138 at Yellowknife Bay.

The base of these objects look like poured stone of some kind, but I use the term "concrete" loosely. On further examination, the base itself is very weird. As if it was manipulated after the initial cause of its destruction.

This image is in my to do pile! I already have enhanced it and just need to hit record and blab for a bit ;) Good work! Excedron saw it too. It is unmistakable! All of these statues belonged on something. Some pedestal. Baaaam

There seems to be a lot of this kind of stuff stretched out over the hills in this one.

I think this is at the end of "Artist's Drive" and the rover is approaching higher elevation on Mount Sharp.

This one from Sol 952 is also really unusual. :silly:

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
