SOL 487 Lure? was created by dude

I call this object "wild thing" because of it's strange appearance. I think I see an eyelet on the top which makes me wonder if this could be an old fishing lure. do you see what i'm talking about?

My first impression was some kind of crab, but it’s plainly not a crab.

If it is manufactured, then it is an odd-shaped piece. In the manufactured case, the irregular protrusions appear to be either corrosion build-up or perhaps the result of electrical activity like the build-up of particles amassing on a cathode(?) during electrolysis. These could be produced naturally too.

Well, that’s my 2 cents worth.

Some of those arms flailing around may actually be separate rocks on the other side of the object of interest. It's really hard to tell. If it's all one object, it's a strange looking thing.

The sun is coming from the upper right. Looks like the "arm" on the right side at least is separate. It seems to be casting a shadow on the ground, which would put it in the background.
