Curiosity Sol 1448 Composites was created by Todd
This Martian landform was imaged by Curiosity Rover's right mastcam on sol 1448. It has a lot of compelling features including a series of adjoining wall-like structures, a window or "cubby" at the top and layers which are seemingly supported from beneath. Below is a reduced size mosaic of the feature.

Below is a three frame composite showing the "wall" features with the "window" directly above it.

There is some strange debris hanging around the base in the right mastcam image below. Some of it has been discussed in this thread .

I've been posting more versions of the raw browse jpgs lately because the last 60 or so sols have been interesting, to say the least. Unfortunately, those raw images will not likely come out for a while. The December 5th release ends at sol 4417. I did see these, they are quite interesting. I don't know what's going on with that "mineral vein" yet but it sure is weird.

Thanks Todd, great images as usual. The "mineral vein" was one of the first things that caught my eye. They looked very strange and even stranger when zoomed in. The untouched images coming back from the rover must be incredible and mind boggling to see.

Here's the composite of the images with one slight enhancement.

Here's the full size composite (9928 x 3640) from sol 1448 as processed from the PDS raw DRCX .img files.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck by the YouTube channel and to all of our admins and forum users here on the channel.   They really have kept the website current while I have been busy taking care of things in my personal life.   I promised that the next video would be a long one and have a LOT to look at.  You can get lost in these Gigapans and I really hope that you do!  I spent a lot of time stitching these together and making sure that they were the best quality that I could get them.  SOL 1448 really has been a goldmine for anomaly hunters and those people who are just hobbiest.  I really hope you enjoy this one and expect much more to come from the latest batches of images!
