A small field of rubble, perhaps ran over recently by the Curiosity Rover on Mars has revealed a statue head resembling what is seen on Mount Nemrut here on Earth. Martine Grainey's enhanced image clearly shows what appears to be artificial objects on Mars. NASA's explanation for this continues to be "There was no sentient life on Mars". They are however slowly inching towards the fact that there was bacterial organisms in ancient times and may still harbor such life today. Only further missions, tests, and research will still be required for them to make such a declaration.
